Did you know that Obesity is one of the causes of Alzheimer’s? According to Dr. Daniel G. Amen – World Renowned Brain specialist Obesity can lead to Alzheimer’s. Through his research of how Obesity effect the brain. Learning this information was shocking. 2/3 of Americans are overweight and 1/3 is Obese. Obesity can lead to many things such as depression, Heart Disease, Cancer, High blood pressure, stroke and Diabetes.
As you know 2nd to Heart Disease is Diabetes. Starting a weight loss/lifestyle change will help in all facets of your life. Scientifically as your weight goes up the size of your brain goes down. Yes, obesity affects your brain. Also your ability to think and reason. Losing weight improves your memory and changes your mood. If want a better mind and body engage in healthy habits. What will your Legacy be a healthy one or a lifetime of illness? What are you doing today to model good health? Are you an agent for change? If you don’t have an answer to these questions or if you’re not sure. I can help. Just knowing that Obesity effects my ability to think and reason, really struck a chord with me. Our brain controls everything, breathing, our motor skills, memory which is really critical. What price do you want to pay?
There are lots of ways to reverse this.
1. Begin a weight loss and exercise program. 2. Focus on your motivation every day. 3. Get your calories under control. 4. Stay on track and be accountable. 5. Get your calories under control. Not counting calories is like not know how much money you have in the bank. Get great value out of your calories. 6. Be consistent. 7.Keep a journal. Journaling is a critical part of success. 8. Drink at least 64 oz. of water daily. Water is also critical to weight loss. It flushes out the fat and impurities in your system. Water with lemon is great change from sodas or other sugar laden drinks. It also cleanses your lymphatic system 9. Cut down on your fat and sugar intake. A good fat is olive oil 10 and Omega 3 oils. Add supplements to your diet on a daily basis.
Understandably, this is not EASY to do; but it is also EASY not to do. When making Permanent Changes hard work makes you earn the Changes. Nothing Easy is Lasting. Are you worth it? Is your family and friends worth it? Just answering yes to these questions shows that you are willing to change.
